Of course the times when he's smilin' are the times when the camera is not on!!
Until Katt caught him yesterday!
Me, I just get looks like this one...
Well, maybe mine was not so bad!!!
What a cute boy.

after watching lots of Olympic action
especially those including little clothing (swimming, beach volleyball, etc.), Charlie and I are were exhausted, as seen here...
or maybe it was the push ups he was doing the other day ;-)
After a wonderful visit to grandma and grandpa, and uncle JD, as well as some other close family, Charlie was hesitant to come back to Raleigh. But after coaxing with a bottle (of formula) we made it back safe and sound.
As the torch is extinguished on another Olympics filled with great stories, some cheating, and outstanding feats of accomplishment, Charlie decides its time to get ready for sleep...
Good night chunky monkey...
(I need some ice cream now.)

UPDATE UPDATE
10 lbs 11oz
The boy is GROWING!! Seems to like to eat...now THAT'S a Lefler!!
Gotta make sure he likes to move too. Can't be eating all that and sit around playing Nintendo (or whatever it is the kids play these days).
Have a safe weekend!!
Above is John Hudson, getting ready to feed the wee man!
John is getting married in October--don't know where yet, but it should be fun finding out!

more pictures of young Charlie
Katt, Charlie, and me with Uncle Jeremy. Don't listen to a thing he says, Charlie...
Can you believe Hallie (Lee and Suze's daughter) is old enough to hold another baby? Charlie already likes being held by a pretty girl...
Lee and Suze's oldest, 15 yr old Preston--ladies watch out. He is one of those kids that you say, "wow. he's GOT to be an athlete." And he is...UNC watch out for this kid!!
I mentioned in the earlier post that we had a tiring go of it recently...here is proof.
The question is, will there ever be another picture on this blog of someone other than Charlie??

a post long in coming
I know it's been a while, but boy has Charlie been busy. He wanted, just wanted to go to the beach, so off we went. To two places that I have great memories of. North Myrtle Beach, where my folks took me when I was a kid. Kids', golfers', and eaters' paradise. I don't spend too much time there these days, as I in college found, what I and Katt, feel is a place that's almost been lost in time, forgotten by timeshares, condos, and high rises...
Oak Island. Or, back when Lee and I first started going to it, it was called Long Beach. Great place, not too crowded, even in the height of summer. Less touristy than that of Morehead City and Beaufort. Not too much to do, unless you want to look at the ocean, find some local place that serves up some great grub, and spend some time with family and friends.
Here's some video of Charlie...not the last, to be sure!
